Daryl stumbled onto this hilarious site that helps you generate genre fiction the other day.  You just pick one phrase from each column to make your synopsis…

In a leather-clad Atlantis, a young farm boy with dreams stumbles upon an exiled angel which spurs him into a conflict with murderous robots with the help of……

This could be a great way to do some writing fun with the kids too!  Help them write categories on pieces of paper and put them in piles — some nouns like boy, sheep, robot; some adjectives like sleepy, gigantic, imaginary and so on; and then draw one word from each pile to make their personalized plot!
