Trees, Photography and Pi

Victoria just came and announced that pi was used to figure out the width of an enormous tree, which I pointed out showed that there really was a good use for math sometimes.  😉  She was talking about this article, which is about the oldest trees in the world.  Some of the photos are just breathtaking, and the stories are pretty fascinating too.  I want to print them out and make a lapbook or something about them.

In other news, Victoria wants me to let people know that she’ll make free clip art by request.  Let her know what you want (so far she’s done a duck, monsters and mushrooms, all colorful and cute) in the comments and she’ll make them up!
